BookCrossing CEIP NTRA. MRS. CONCEPTION
Our colleague Ana López, CEIP Nuestra Senora de la Concepcion, has prepared a Bookcrossing activities targeting all school students .
activity is to leave books in different areas of school (in the bathroom, a corner of the patio, the dining room, etc..) for students that are to read, and once read, let them elsewhere. In this way, the books passed from hand to hand and are read by students in an entertaining way. After reading the book, the student must make a critical statement thereof for hanging on the cork with Bookcrossing intended for the library. There are different opinions and recommendations. So everyone can share their experience with Bookcrossing and advise others!

CELEBRATING SPRING Braille, READING OTHERWISE
Our friends from IES. Móstoles Europe, made a few weeks ago a very interesting activity. With the help of two teachers of the National Organization of English Blind (ONCE) and thanks to the books that the center has adapted, learned reading and writing in Braille language.
Besides knowing the history and origin of this alphabet, the kids learned what was the reason why it was invented and how the aim was to adapt the fingertip to make possible the interpretation of the characters.
Thanks to the world of reading, students could draw near to the feelings of one of his classmates, transcribing a few phrases in English and English, aided by a loan from the Braille alphabet ONCE.
Besides books like Romeo and Juliet and The Holy Innocents, in the IES. Europe also have books on different subjects in relief, the human body, plants, geography ...
A good initiative to raise children with disabilities in our society.

Our friend Lucia, librarian at the IES Infanta Elena of Galapagar, sends us this beautiful activity that took place in the library on the occasion of Valentine's Day.
activity was convened under the slogan "Leave your heart in the library" so open to all school pupils, although some teachers participated. It was cut hearts, write them a poem or poetry or a sentence, thought or reflection on love. With all the windows are decorated in the library. Students were also brought some "inventions love" like a bottle anticelos (it uncovers the bottle, shouting in anger to download and re-cover), a box with slips surprise (you take a piece of paper to see what love has touched phrase), a decorated bottle as a bottle of perfume that was called atractiveitor ", etc. All these inventions put them on display along with a selection of books with themes of love we chose for this day. The student response has been great, have taken pains to decorate their hearts and inventions. The teachers of the Language Department have worked to encourage students from the classroom, especially Isabel Solis and Avelino Bernárdez.

CELEBRATING VALENTINE IS ALSO THE TRIVIAL FOR SCHOOL LIBRARIES
Our friend Clarisa, librarian of the IES. Pradolongo has made an adaptation of the famous board game Trivial .
The objective is to earn 8 candy and for that we have different boxes:
- Candy Boxes : have questions that children can respond using the library resources.
- Other boxes: "make a caramel," a sweet gift to another player "," lose all the candy, "" free candy "," one turn "," back to square one exit "," sings a song with the word blue "," say the alphabet backwards "...
Players throw the dice in turn and will progress across the board. If you fall into a candy box is asked a question, if the successes are carrying candy (in the Trivial quesito earns a color) if they fail, nothing. I get 8 to win candy.
If you fall into the other boxes will have to do to send the box, eat candy, give it away ... (well, if a player has 7 candy and is not just one to win, if it falls in a box "commit candy "and would lose one with 6).
A very good idea to encourage kids to read and teach them to use library resources. We hope you enjoy and that children enjoy learning so ingenious.
