Signs For Laundry Rooms Etiquette

THE LIBRARIAN OF BASRA

Leticia, librarian at the CEIP Palacio Valdés, with the help of their teacher responsible, Carmen, has prepared a nice activity on the book The Librarian of Basra

Objectives:
- General: differentiating fiction from nonfiction, make predictions about the content looking at pictures, descriptions of characters, identify the conflict, the knot, and imagine the ending because the story is open ended. Encouraging participation.

- Conceptual: To emphasize the importance of books and libraries, what represents the library for them? Why are books important? What do we lose if
lost books?. Through the actions of the protagonist of the story, explain the concept of hero or heroine and to differentiate the concept of "superhero." You do not need super powers to perform extraordinary actions such as those that Alia made to save the library.

Values: friendship, altruism, generosity, courage ...

cross Values: education for peace and coexistence

Recipients: Primary Students

Materials :

- WINTER, Jeanette. "The Librarian of Basra". " Barcelona: Juventud, 2007.

Our partner Patricia, Father Mariana, says that on April 1, went to his library some people from the editorial Everest to make an animation reader, who was on the air, the sound ... and that was a gift from the publishers for purchasing a number of materials for the Reading Plan. Students attended delighted to encourage reading based on the sounds of air and using musical instruments and the theater learned a lot of things and participated actively.

students attended the first cycle, and it was an idea that course coordinator, Carmen Martinez, with the help of the head of the center of the library, Josefa Fernández García-Caro.

Should My Poo Be Black

VISIT THE

Our friend Amy CEIP Nuestra Senora de la Concepcion is organizing visits to the bookmobile located near the school. This activity involved attend classes from kindergarten of 1 to Primary 6. Visits to be scheduled, the librarian receives and explains what a bookmobile, how the service and the resources it has. Each student receives a brochure and learn that the bookmobile has multiple paths and different districts runs every day, so the stop near our school does have a certain day and time. Infant pupils can sit and read a story.

In this way, is giving students meet a new library for them, since most had no knowledge of the existence of these "mobile library" and thus, promote the development of reading and the use of these public resources are accessible to everyone.

Visits are being successful!
